LEWIS MODEL

Each country has a representative culture. The Lewis model can categorize three types of culture, which are: Linear-active, multi-active and reactive culture.
Countries with a linear-active culture are characterized because people do one thing at a time, and it is said to represent efficiency, while in countries with a multi-active culture, people tend to do more activities at the same time. On the other hand, reactive cultures are introverted.
The Lewis model is represented graphically as a triangle. Each corner belongs to a very specific type of culture with very defined characteristics. Between each type of culture there are some scales or levels that show combinations of those characteristics.

According to this model the Indian culture is considered as a hybrid since it has characteristics of Multi-active-reactive cultures.
